Join us at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Saturday, December 19th at 10:00 am. Event will take place rain or shine on the Veterans’ Plaza at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. This year our event will include only the placing of wreaths on the graves. If you would like to personally place the wreath on your deceased veterans grave please contact us at (408) 342-1510.
On National Wreaths Across America Day each December, volunteers place wreaths on individual veterans’ graves in over 1,100 locations throughout the U.S., with ceremonies at sea, and at each of the national cemeteries on foreign soil. On December 19, 2020 San Jose Catholic Cemeteries and American Legion Stevens Creek Post # 642 will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery along with multiple Scout troops and volunteers to remember and honor our veterans through the placing of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. Next years event will be held on December 18, 2021.

Remember, Honor, and Teach

CFCS San Jose intentionally remembers and honors all those who have given their lives in service to their country through burial ritual and honorary tributes such as Wreaths Across America and Memorial Day events. It is San Jose Catholic Cemeteries ministry to remember all those who served in the military, particularly those who gave their lives in sacrifice for the country.
In addition to the American Legion Post #642, Catholic Cemeteries and Gate of Heaven is proud to partner with other local community organizations, businesses and sponsors to provide this special Veterans’ tribute including the City of Cupertino, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America.
